OGC Testbed 12 Demonstrator
Welcome to the OGC Testbed 12 demonstrator showing several proposed extensions to EO-WCS, WMTS, and WMS.
The EO-WCS demonstration is bested viewed via the EOxC client shown below. It demonstrates visualization of 3D coverage data in the browser making extensive use of WebGL. To adjust the visualization open the layer widget and click the “configuration” icon (the middle one right of the layer name).
The data available is three simulated (FLEXPART) dispersion of fire emissions. The fire burned two and a half days from 2016-02-23 00:00 to 2016-02-25 12:00 in the northeastern part of San Francisco. The emissions were transported for four days. Temporal resolution is 3 hours. The data includes 10 height levels.
The license is CC-BY using “DLR-DFD (German Aerospace Center – German Remote Sensing Data Center)”. Many thanks to DLR for providing the data.
The data is also available via EO-WCS. In oder to get proper coverage descriptions please use a DescribeEOCoverageSet request. GeoTIFFs for individual timestamps including the 10 height layers as bands can be downloaded via GetCoverage requests.
For the time being we provide direct access to GeoTIFFs including all metadata in addition like http://ows.eox.at/testbed-12/eoxserver/coverage/fireemission24. It’s simple to guess the other valid requests, just note that this is not following any OGC standard.
